Commercial, Industrial & Governmental Welding, Piping and Fabrication(717) 925-7700 · After-hours emergency response: select Option 1

From concept, print or field measurement to finished component.

Custom one-off components, prototypes, replacement parts, short runs and machined weldments for industrial, municipal, utility and government applications.

Problem-Solving Fabrication

Built for the parts that are difficult to source or do not exist yet.

Not every project begins with a complete production drawing. PennWelding™ works with engineers, maintenance teams, contractors and equipment owners to turn sketches, damaged samples, field dimensions and performance requirements into practical fabricated solutions.

Our integrated approach is especially valuable for one-off components and repair parts that require both welding and machining before they are ready for service.

Typical Requests

  • Made-to-print components
  • Prototype assemblies
  • Replacement parts
  • Reverse-engineered repair components
  • Short-run production
  • Machined weldments
  • Custom brackets, shafts and adapters
  • Equipment modifications
Core Services

Fabrication and machine-shop support under one project plan.

Made-to-Print Fabrication

Components and assemblies produced from customer drawings, CAD files, specifications and bills of material.

Prototyping & Development

Practical assistance refining a concept into a buildable part or assembly, with attention to function, serviceability and installation.

Machining Services

Turning, milling, drilling, boring, facing and related machine-shop operations coordinated with welding and final assembly.

Repair & Reverse Engineering

Measurement and recreation of worn, damaged or obsolete components when original parts are unavailable or lead times are unacceptable.

Short Runs & Repeat Work

Small-batch fabrication for specialty components that do not justify large-scale production tooling.

Field-Verified Fabrication

Site measurement and verification when the part must fit existing equipment, structures or irregular field conditions.

Project Inputs

We can start with more than a finished drawing.

  • Engineered drawings and CAD files
  • Customer sketches
  • Existing or damaged samples
  • Field measurements
  • Functional requirements
  • Material and service specifications
Deliverable Focus

A finished part that is ready for its application.

Fabrication, machining, fit-up and final assembly are coordinated around the intended use of the component. That reduces the risk of producing individual pieces that meet dimensions on paper but create problems during assembly or installation.

Materials & Processes

Broad capability for industrial applications.

Carbon steel, stainless steel / inox, aluminum, Inconel and selected specialty alloys can be fabricated using MIG, Stick, TIG, Flux Core and Dual Shield processes as appropriate to the project.
